Residual Solvents

EVIO Labs tests all types of products for residual solvents. We verify that concentrate and oil products as well as edibles are free of solvents, processing chemicals, and some substances commonly found in pesticides. Solvents are used to extract cannabinoids from raw plant material. If not properly purged during the extraction process, high levels of solvents remaining in the product can cause irritation, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, and even loss of consciousness.

EVIO Labs uses headspace gas chromatography to quantify harmful solvents, impurities, or adulterants down to parts-per-million (PPM). Using our Gas Chromatographer with Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID), means we provide the most comprehensive and accurate testing available anywhere.
